Sustainable development enables the transition to a greener way of life, while at the same time focusing on the issue of depletion of natural resources and environmental pollution. With its sustainability strategy, the Robust company strongly advocates for the changes necessary for the decarbonization of organizations and wider society. The company is well aware of the direct impact of production on the environment and the fact that in order to ensure sustainable development, it is necessary to use resources wisely and, if possible, reuse them in products, thus extending their lifespan.
Sustainable orientation brings many opportunities in the development of green technologies, which enable more efficient management of natural resources, and at the same time creates a competitive advantage while reducing environmental issues.
Carbon neutrality by 2030
With the “Carbon neutrality by 2030” as its first commitment, the Robust company swore to energy efficiency and energy self-sufficiency, reducing the consumption of natural resources by using recycled materials, and reducing the consumption of electricity and water in business premises. Robust also ensured a complete transition to digital document management to reduce office supplies and the resulting amount of waste, while the separation of waste in appropriate containers (paper, glass, plastic and packaging) has been present in the company for some time. The company is already working in the direction of reducing the carbon footprint per employee with incentives and special promotions, which has led to the reduction and optimization of business trips. Even the meals provided to the employees as a hot lunch come from the local environment, which results in less transport manipulation. The company is committed to buying local, environmentally responsible and certified products, which then become part of its machines and enable the optimization of logistics processes.
Circular economy and the zero-waste concept
The company Robust adheres to the circular economy and the zero-waste concept, which was also presented in the second sustainability commitment, and is committed to the use of recycled materials and resulting incorporation of sustainable components into the structure of the product, it has therefore ensured additional reduction of primary raw materials, excessive packaging and greenhouse gases in production.
The company’s concept of sustainable management
As part of the third sustainability commitment representing the concept of sustainable management, the Robust company is committed to implementing awareness of the importance of reducing CO2 by enriching residues, so we offer know-how recycling services and products, and we also enable all stakeholders to demonstrate residues recycling in our demo center at the company headquarters. It cooperates with the Center for Reuse to donate used items for converting them into new ones. The company also has a special group for stimulating employees and managing the operational processes of reducing resources on a monthly basis. Also, the concept of a mobile biomass heating unit, which includes a crushing unit, a metal separator and a furnace, is currently under development. In this way, the accumulated wood waste in the local community, if it is a residential building, can be turned into energy for heating to heat the building.
Promoting sustainability
In the fourth sustainability commitment as further goals of the Robust brand, the company lists high-tech production and engineering in the field of waste recycling, which enable companies their transition to a circular economy, and follow the zero-waste concept with high added value. The future is seen in transforming useless materials into something useful and valuable, also with the help of our Robust brand products.
